Yarmouth Rally, September 12th 2015.
The sun shone on the MOA on Saturday 12th in what proved to be a bright but windy day. Several boats arrived early to enjoy a wander around Yarmouth-always a pleasant way to spend a few hours!Lookin Foor Kloos proved to be the last arrival at the rally having made it just in time for the pontoon party after a day’s racing – just as well as the wine and food was on board! Fortunately, it did not take long for everyone to get together and enjoy some welcome refreshment and nibbles before heading off for the evening’s dinner.
An excellent dinner in good company was enjoyed at the Royal Solent Yacht Club followed by a magnificent firework display – we still do not know who it was for but we all enjoyed it!
A total of 5 Maxis were moored up in Yarmouth with 2 boats, ‘Suive’ (Richard and Lorraine) and ‘Out of the Blue’ (Bill and Sue McFarlane), arriving by car.
Sunday was fine and calm with some of the Maxis leaving early to catch the east-going tide.
The next rally will be at Shepherd’s Wharf in Cowes on October 17th and 18th organised by Peter and Sarah Sands – we hope to see you there.
